Markets a wide variety of banking services to clients. Explains bank products and services. Refers or arranges bank services to meet clients’ diverse needs. Opens new accounts. Collects and reviews applications for consumer credits. Meets with customers to discuss applications.
a. Works directly with customers and demonstrates good customer skills by directing the customer into the account(s) that will benefit them the most.
b. Opens deposit accounts: checking, savings, money market, certificate of deposit, health savings accounts, and/or IRA accounts.
c. Works with consumer loans: opens new loans, renews current loans, potentially denies loans, or turn past due loans over to collections.
d. Wires funds for customers.
e. Perform account maintenance: change account type; change address on accounts; change ownership on accounts.
f. Provide debit card assistance: activate the card for customers; re-set the PIN; research any problems or difficulties the customer is having with the card.
g. Order checks and deposit tickets for customers.
h. Complete verifications for other businesses on our customer accounts.
i. Scan and file customer account documents and IDs.
j. Manage customer bank accounts; open, close and oversee transactions.
k. Resolve issues with banking services and accounts.
l. Help customers with their on-line and mobile banking.
m. Assists potential borrowers with completion of initial loan applications; reviews submitted applications for accuracy and completion, requesting additional information or detail as needed.
n. Collect and analyze all pertinent financial information on potential and existing loan customers. Set appropriate terms and for loans based on loan policy.
o. Complete and maintain all documentation needed within the loan process in adherence to the guidelines as set within the loan policy.
p. Manage their individual loan portfolio and assess ongoing risk within the portfolio.
q. Ensure collection of loans within the set parameters of the loan agreements.
r. Identify risk within the repayment of their individual portfolio and when problems arise identify issues, develop possible solutions to the problem. Advise superior of problems within reasonable time frame.
s. Meet with prospective customers to discuss their operation and determine how we can serve their financial needs better than their existing financial provider; explain different lending and credit options and bank products to potential and current clients.
t. Maintains credit and lending records and files; manages loan servicing on existing loan portfolios regarding payments, advances, modifications, and ongoing collection of information.
u. Review overdrafts and determine action.
v. Review balance sheets of existing accounts in search of additional loan opportunities.
w. Maintains a robust referral network for the purpose of business development.
x. Attend community events that promote EVB and/or promote community involvement to generate new business.
y. Perform all other duties as assigned.

a. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
b. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management or related field is preferred.
c. Previous experience working directly with the public especially in a financial institution is preferred.
